ARTISTS FOR OUR SATURDAY 14TH NOVEMBER GIG

FUSCHI-3

Fuschi3 alive and well at JbJazz blues Club

We like to define what we play as ‘earthy dirty music’. We love the rhythm and groove of Funk, but also the simplicity and ‘brutality’ of Blues. One day we decided to meet up for a jam and after a brief discussion started to play: a choppy funky riff on the electric-guitar with a fat rhythmical pattern made of drums and bass-guitar, singing the lyrics of Evil by Howlin’ Wolf, and the rest is history. When we slow it down we play stuff like Need Your Love So Bad and at other times get rougher and play our version of Crossroads Blues. Some of you might say that we aren’t doing anything original or innovative, but hey we never said we wanted to be the Beatles! We simply play what we like, after all music is a matter of approach. Therefore welcome to the Fuschi3 site. Have a look around, listen to our music and make yourself at home. At the end of the day if you ended up being here there must be a reason.

RED-ON-BLACK

Red on Black

Red on Black all live in Oldham, near Manchester in the North of England. We've been together in one guise or another for the last 15 years. In our earlier days, we lost our one and only keyboard player. Rather than replace him, we decided that Anita should turn 'rock chick' and fill the gap by playing guitar.Already an accomplishedguitar/banjo/fiddle/anything player, her vocal and playing style now provides the template for much of what we produce. Since our formation we have remained committed to being a dynamic live band, playing high quality dance music drawing from dance music genres from around the world. Red on Black is greatly original material mostly written by me covering a wide spectrum of styles from African to gospel. We ‘re a friendly bunch  who’ve been together for years in one form or another playing all types of music. Follow the ‘neat’ link if you want a proper look at us.
