A young, fresh and exciting singer bursting onto the scene all over the North West and making headway in the big smoke of London. Katie has sang all across Europe with the Nu Jazz/Funk Band 'The Diesler Live Experience'
and featured with them on this year's HedKandi Lounge Compilation Album with their effortlessly smooth track 'Carla's Beat'.
For JB Jazz Blues she will be performing an intimate acoustic set with piano accompanying her velvet vocals. With a mix of her own material Katie also performs an eclectic array of cover songs in her own inimitable style.
The singer of French-Filipino heritage is a multi-faceted performer. As well as a solo singer/songwriter, Katie is the live vocalist for the funk/soul producer ‘Diesler’ (Freestyle records) and a widely booked singer/pianist in the North West circuit. Katie’s most exciting moment was when she one of a few selected students at LIPA to have a one to one songwriting session with Paul McCartney. He was later heard whistling her song ‘Brand New’ in the corridor. Her song ‘You Fall, I Fall’ was also selected by Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees to appear on a 6 track compilation of his favourite Artists throughout the Institution. www.myspace.com/katiemiller1
